Vintage Sterling Silver and Abalone Butterfly Made in Mexico

A dimensional butterfly with inset abalone on one set of its wings. The maker's mark is MCM with the eagle mark #8 (I believe-see photo) and the hallmark STERLING  925 MEXICO. The dimensions of this brooch are 1  1/4"L x 1  1/8" W. The condition is very good functionally and aesthetically.
