Description
This is a
vintage 1950's glass pearl and rhinestone
parure called First Lady. The signature is
indicative of it's age, being a very early
mark of SAC within a diamond outline. The
bracelet is in the original strung condition
which is very good. The stringing material
seems to be a bit stiff and it can be
re-strung on a softer material for more
fluidity. It fits on the wrist like a soft
bangle. Please make a request for
re-stringing for an additional 20.00 fee. It
can also be lengthened with the addition of
contemporary glass beads.
All three pieces
incorporate the central large glittering
prong set rhinestone with twisted rope
border in silvertone metal. The ring is
adjustable and the earrings clip on. I
frequently put clip on earrings on a chain
to make a necklace. One of these earrings
would make a gorgeous pendant. All findings
& components are in excellent
condition. Please note that one pearl on one
earring had peeled and has since been
replaced.
The pearls on
the earrings are whiter than the cream
colored ones of the bracelet. I've never
seen this particular bracelet in the white,
nor the earrings in ivory, so I can only
surmise that it was intentional to have the
pearls in this set of two color tones.
Wouldn't this make a lovely bridal or prom
ensemble?
