Coventry Leaf and Simulated Pearl
Chatelaine Demi-parure
This vintage chatelaine and clip on
earrings by Sarah Coventry is called Chit-Chat. The
rippling leaf has a satin finish to the goldtone metal
with a satin finish simulated white pearl prong set on
each leaf. The fine curb link chain can be removed to
wear the brooches as scatter pins. For this reason, the
chain has been misplaced from many of the surviving Chit
Chat sets. This set is in gently worn condition and of
course the chain has remained with it. Chatelaine pins
can be worn on a lapel, as a sweater guard, on a
waistband, or pocket. Each clip on earring and the
smaller brooch measure 1 1/4" x 1". The larger brooch
measures 1 3/4" x 1 3/8". The condition of all
components is excellent.
