Florenza Glass Malachite Cabochon Pendant and Chain

A variegated & striated glass cabochon is the focal point of this 1960's Florenza pendant, made to look like the stone malachite. The stone is open back and prong set within a frame of brushed antiqued gold tone metal and detailed with foliate accents. The oval frame is edged with beading. A hook bail is found on the reverse side along with the signature FLORENZA © in raised lettering. The 36" long oval link gold plated chain is not the original chain, but the length is indicative of the same 1960's vintage era. It closes with a spring ring clasp. The pendant is in excellent condition with a few minor exceptions ~ the cabochon has a few minute surface bubbles which can be felt but not readily seen. The beading edge at the base of the pendant seems to be slightly rough. Both of these imperfections probably occurred during manufacture. The chain is in excellent condition.
