Vintage Monet 1953 Patented Dangle Earring Design

A slightly flattened  open work cone dangles from a polished silvertone button clip on earring on this funky Monet design patented in 1953 by M. Chernow. The unusual and slightly weighty dangles attach by clip-on findings. The hinges on the clips are tight to ensure secure earlobe adjustment. A little departure from the usual sparkly cocktail party earrings of the 1950's! The dimensions are 2 3/8"L x 1 1/4"W x 5/8" H. The condition is excellent.
