Antique Glass Star Sapphire Brooch           

The white metal frame surrounding this blue art glass stone tests as 9K white gold. It is likely that it's gold plate. The frame is machine stamped with the border resembling hand etching. Closure is by  C clasp and pin stem. The vintage is early Edwardian era. The oblong rounded-corner translucent blue glass cabochon stone has a pattern at the base which resembles a star sapphire. The dimensions are 7/8" L x 1 1/4" W x 3/16" H. The condition is excellent.
